Petrana's Political Views

My dad is watching the Republican debate downstairs. And while I do my best to keep an open mind, and I do have to acknowledge that some of them make valid points about foreign policy and economy and such, some things about personal liberties that these people are saying is infuriating me.
1) Gay Rights: Okay, seriously? I read this excellent facebook post of a friend of mine, who is bisexual and a Christian, and she made a great point. Nowhere in the Bible does it explicitly say that God hates homosexuality. It doesn't even remotley describe it. In fact, the original Hebrew said prostitutes.
2) Abortion: If you think the government should stay out of everybody's lives...shouldn't they stay out of a woman's decision to have an abortion?
3) Seperation of Church and State: NOT EVERBODY IS CHRISTIAN. You could offend some people by praying in school or openly engaging in religious activities. Please, keep this in mind.
4) Health Care: My neighbor's dad lost his job and the mom is a homekeeper and basically, if one of the two children gets seriously ill, they are basically screwed. Are you telling me that these big shots don't want to spend a little extra tax money to help out children whose parents don't have jobs? They have no alternative. Those two girls haven't had a real doctor's checkup in years.

Okay. That's it. Sorry for being hard core liberal. It's just me. X3

Martin

This is my boyfriend. Normally, I'm not the type to squeal and go "OMG baby we r sooo qte." But I had a tough emotional near-wreck today, and he patiently helped to cheer me up. I think that anyone who willingly chooses to be with someone half as messed up as I am should be commended.
He's Brass Captain and extremley smart. He gets cocky sometimes, but it's cute.

And that's him.

Places I've Made Out At

I am trying to cheer myself up...so here's a list.
1. Movie theatre--on seats
2. The rug department at Bloomingdales
3. A friend's backyard by the lake
4. The hall leading to a bathroom at some club house
5. His bed
6. Empty hallway at school
7. My bedroom floor
8. Bushes
9. The bus
10. The movie theatre--on the floor

Nick

This is Nick. Consider to be dashingly handsome by people who've just met him and aggravatingly annoying by the people who've known him for a while, Nick is an odd character. He can be a jerk; he makes perverted comments about clothes his girl friends wear, he makes sexists slurs towards us, and overall thinks he is better because he has a Y chromosome. But he's surprisingly sweet and has good intentions.
Nick is one of my best friends. And no, he is not my boyfriend. Sure we hang out all the time and ride around Walmart on shopping carts and our moms think the other is attractive, but he's more like an annoying big brother. I love him, but in a friend way. As much as you could love someone of another gender without anything romantic happening.

Erin

This is Erin. She is my best friend. I met her two years ago when we had the same science class. A mutual friend introduced me to her and the first thing Erin said to me was: "OMG! Your name sounds like Patronus!!!" And I was like: "YOU LIKE HARRY POTTER?"
I think it was Erin who first encouraged me to embrace my geekyness and act really hyper. I am a happy person because of her. To quote my boyfriend, "I think you two feed off each other..."
When she's happy, I'm happy and when she's sad, I am. (Vice versa)
I don't know what I'd do without her.
